Nedlands ENT Surgeons are based in Perth, Western Australia. Nedlands ENT represents a link of two highly experienced surgeons with complimentary specialisation interest in Ear, Nose and Throat disorders and Head and Neck Surgery.

Our Ear, Nose & Throat surgeons provide specialist care by drawing from the 40 plus years of combined experience and the many areas of individual specialist expertise available within the Collaboration. We specialise in a wide range of pediatric and adult otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat conditions) including sleep apnea, snoring, dizziness, ear and throat infections, head and neck illnesses, voice, sinus and hearing problems. We also perform Audiology and offer comprehensive hearing tests. We specialise in Paediatric Otolaryngology, endoscopic sinus surgery and head and neck surgery.

 

Dr Francis Lannigan

ENT Surgeon

Clinical Professor Francis Lannigan trained in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in the UK and Western Australia and has achieved the following in his career:

  • Completed research for Doctorate Thesis at The University Of Western Australia where he is a Clinical Professor

  • Consultant and previous Head of Department at Princess Margaret Hospital

  • Over 50 publications in peer reviewed literature

  • Previous President of The Australiasian Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology

  • Previous Chair for the Clinical Staff Association and Medical Advisory Committee at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children

  • Previous Chair of the Western Australian Training Committee in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery

  • Immediate past Chair of the Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Royal Australiasian College of Surgeons

Dr Latif Kadhim

ENT Surgeon

Dr Latif Kadhim graduated from the University of Baghdad Medical School in 1991. He undertook residency and general surgical basic training in Ireland, through the Irish Training Program in Otolaryngology, head and Neck Surgery. He completed a year of advanced training at fellowship level in Paediatric Otolaryngology at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. In 2006, he took up a position as a clinical fellow in Neurotology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He completed this with a year of research in 2007 before returning to Australia as a consultant Otolaryngologist in South West Health Campus, Western Australia in February 2008.

Dr Kadhim is accredited by examination with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology.

Dr Kadhim is experienced in General Otolaryngology, in particular in complex ear surgery which include chronic ear disease and cholesteatoma surgery, laser stapedotomy for otosclerosis, and implantable hearing devices. He recently gained experience in Endoscopic Assisted Ear Surgery.

Dr Kadhim deals with all aspects of ENT diseases, adults and children, sinusitis and snoring and an overview of the procedures within his field of expertise is given on this web site.

Dr Kadhim is a member of The Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), The Australian Medical Association (AMA). He was awarded the title of Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia in 2013.
Dr Kadhim has been in practice in WA since 2008 with his private office or ‘rooms’ at SJOG Bunbury. His Public post at Fiona Stanley and Bunbury Regional Hospitals. He operates at St John of God Hospital, Murdoch and Bunbury and Hollywood Hospital. He consults in Nedlands and Bunbury.
